Delhi to host Northeast Global Investor Summit-2023 in August

If you are looking for new opportunities to invest in the northeast region of India, you might want to mark your calendar for August 2023. That's when Delhi will host the Northeast Global Investor Summit-2023, a mega event that aims to showcase the potential and prospects of the eight northeastern states.
The summit will focus on various sectors such as tourism and hospitality, agro-food processing, textiles, handloom and handicrafts, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, education and skill development, Information Technology and Services, entertainment, sports, tea, energy and more. The summit will also feature B2B and B2G meetings, roundtable conferences, panel discussions and cultural programs.
The summit is being organized by the Ministry of Development of Northeast Region (DoNER) in collaboration with Invest India and FICCI as investment facilitation partner and industry partner respectively. The summit is expected to attract investors from across India and abroad, especially from countries like the US, SAARC, EU, ASEAN, Canada, UAE, Dubai, Japan and Finland.
Before the summit, a series of activities will be held in the northeastern states and other cities to promote the event and highlight the investment opportunities in the region. These include state roundtables in April-May, road shows in Mumbai (on May 29), Dhaka (Bangladesh) (on June 13), Hyderabad (on June 23) and Kolkata (on July 10).
The Northeast Global Investor Summit-2023 is a unique opportunity to explore the untapped potential of the northeast region and forge mutually beneficial partnerships with stakeholders. The summit will also help in boosting the economic development and social integration of the region with the rest of India.
